Food is Medicine
Rooted in a deep commitment to giving back, we proudly serve Charlotte and the surrounding community by providing nutritious meals to those who need them most.
A message from our CEO
Jill Vande Woude
Our Community Supported Meals program was born in 2022 out of doing the next right thing. Physical health and mental health are intrinsically connected, and when wellness is looked at with a holistic lens, healing can truly begin. We are so honored to be entrusted with nourishing our community, especially those seeking treatment, and look forward to making an impact through food.
Simply put, we believe food heals.
Our Founder and Executive Chef Sam Diminich battled addiction for many years and made his way in and out of various treatment centers. He saw firsthand the lack of love and nutrition provided in most of the food served. He recognized that “when you are in this pivotal point in your life in which you are trying to get better, a nutritious, well-rounded meal filled with vibrancy and love goes a long way to healing.”
What We Do
We partner with treatment facilities in the Charlotte area to provide high-quality, nutritious, and locally-sourced meals.

CASE STUDY
McLeod Center for Wellness
When we first began speaking to McLeod, a substance use care program in North Carolina, about a partnership as their new food vendor, we were disheartened to learn that the food their residents had been eating was of very low quality in both ingredients and preparation. We were excited and committed to bringing a fresh and local approach to resident meals and to aid in a holistic recovery model. Being part of the journey with McLeod in opening their new space and focusing on individual wellness had been a highlight of our partnership.
Outcome
Strengthened our commitment as a company to take up space in the sober and recovery communities.
Created nutritious and fun meals for residents, bringing in seasonal ingredients and flavors - many of which may be unfamiliar to them
Further support of local farmers and the Charlotte economy
